New Album releases for December 2008

2008 was a great year in music. The year is not over yet, there are still some new albums scheduled to be released this December. There aren't many new album releases but the few that are scheduled to released are highly anticipated.

 Britney Spears has risen from the ashes. Her sixth album Circus is scheduled to be released December 2, on her 27th birthday.Her first single Womanizerhas already hit number 1 on the Billboard charts.Surprisingly, that track is Spears' first number 1  on the chart since her debut single, 1999's "...Baby One More Time." This album is sure to be a hit. Artists that collaborated with her on this album include Rodney Jerkins, Lil John, Keri Hilson, Max Martin, Avant, Sean Garrett and Guy Sigsworth.The standard edition of the album will have 12 track and 7 bonus tracks. The second single is Circus and it is already getting good reviews.

Mr 50 Cent is back with his fourth solo album titled Before I Self Destruct.The album is scheduled to be released on December 9th. This album was suppose to be released back in 2007 but he released Curtis instead.In early October 2008, the first single titled "Get Up" was released via 50 Cent's official YouTube.50 Cent described this album as "darker" and more "aggressive" than his previous album and stated, "hands down, it will be the best record of that time period.

 The Chicago hip hop artist Common is back with a new album titled Universal Mind Control.This will be his 8th album.Originally it was scheduled to be released on June 24, 2008 under the name "Invincible Summer," the release date was pushed back to September 30, 2008 due to Common filming.On September 10, 2008, it was announced that the title would be changed to "Universal Mind Control" and the release date was set for November 11, 2008.The date was pushed back again and it is now scheduled to be released on December 9th.The first single off the album is titled Universal Mind Control and it was released on July 1 2008.
